Exploration 1
I’ve always wondered how great it is to be the first one to adventure into unchartered territories. Such is the fate of those robots on space exploration. Indeed they would be the first to see everything, but loneliness would also be shadowed onto them. It is a lucky thing that they have no emotions.
I seldom fall in love. Rarely. As my good friends would tell me, all i get are infatuations. A lot of it. Each time a new girl comes along that shows interest, I would be on my toes to please them. There’s something to this love thing that I can’t seem to understand till now. No matter how much research I find or theories I deduct, I am nowhere close to even unlocking the mystery to it. Or maybe I just don’t understand girls as much as I think I do.
I have 2 points that are on my mind today.
1. Toddler love.
2. Equality among the sexes.
I was sitting in the bus when a toddler turned and looked back from his seat and smiled at me. I was wondering why this little thing was doing that. He seemed so happy at everything. No sadness on his face. Nothing to worry about. I was so envious. He was chanting the ABC song to his mom and at the end of it, he held his mom’s face and kissed her. That was the sweetest gesture of love i’ve seen in years.
On a more serious note. I bring forth point 2. Equality among the sexes. This thought was triggered yet again when i saw the commercial on the arena where they were arguing on the motion of whether girls should serve NS. The rebuttal from one of the girls was ‘I DO NOT NEED TO DO A MAN’S JOB TO PROVE GENDER EQUALITY‘. Wow! That made me all ready to debate her.
First and foremost, all guys who disagree with whatever girls are saying or do are branded as Male Chauvinist Pigs or MCP. This term has been thrown around so lightly that it has lost its true meaning. When she says that NS is a man’s job, then, what IS a woman’s job? Making babies? Afterall that is what god intended them to do. No? It was highly idiotic for that girl from a renowned girls school to make a statement that NS is a man’s job. Look at Joan of Arc. Tell that to her. It is simply convenient to just push the blame to guys. Stop that. Its ugly. If you want gender equality, that live by your words. Not just by the jobs that you do, but by your lifestyle. I do not think I have to go into details. Lets hope gender equality will be a something that makes the world a better place rather than being a sham for girls to get their way even more.
Bro,dont be too incensed over what she said.I believe she said that for the sake of the ‘wow’ factor and trying to put across a strong but naive statement. If you noticed, she came from NGHS.An all girls’ school. And she’s only 14 years old.
So what does that tell us?It simply tells us that she hasn’t been to the REAL world, where there are jerks and losers aplenty, and colleagues and bosses that are sexist, misogynistic and lack her oh so optimistic outlook on life.
I would put down her sweeping statements as naive, but it was abit inflammatory for me.Gender equality goes both ways too. There shouldn’t be double standards for either males or females.
However,i concede that at least she has her point of view and isn’t afraid to convey it.Youth nowadays just conform and lack real identity.
I sound like a lecturer! hahaha
Cheers!

“Youth nowadays just conform and lack real identity.”
You really shouldn’t put down a person’s sweeping statement if you make one of your own. Please don’t generalise!
Anyway, hi Farhan! Your life seems very happening!
