LADIDA 6

the next girl story

A great adventure awaits me at Kulai with Hwa Chong JC this coming week. I am really looking forward to it. 4Days of nothing but nature and fun! I told Odi about it and she was like, “Why do i have a strong feeling that you’re coming home with another girl story”.

Lol, well Odi, i dunno, maybe, maybe not. The school is too chinesy for my taste. So we’ll have to see. AHAH! The past few days have been filled with lots of emotional surprises. I came back from a camp learning something from a 14 yr old boy. Everyday I wrote reflections on a spare camp booklet i kept for myself.

An extract from it.

I was sitting down facing the sea alone at 2345 when wrote this.

The crisp salty breeze blowing across my face. I am reminded of the reason why I became an instructor in the first place. It is to educate, to motivate and to advocate. What gives me the right to teach what I do not know. I know not about life nor its mysteries. Not even close to comprehending it. Confused and stumbling at every turn. I believe I am incompetent.

Today I was inspired, neigh, influenced by a secondary 2 whitley sec boy. He was quite the gentleman in speech and in action. I questioned my own character. Am I even half the gentleman that he is? Gleaming with poise and finesse.

AWESOME.

That seems to be the word that’s wagging off my group’s tongues. It was catchy and interesting. Almost irritating. It was the new IT.

Well, before my camp ended, I received a heart breaking piece of news. My grandma just passed away. It was a sad day. She left us on her 77th birthday. Her death day was her birthday. How coincidental can that be. However, her death brought the whole family together. With my aunt complaining about the lack of professionalism of the new Camp HA ‘instructors’ to my other aunt asking me to treat them to dinner coz they heard that i’m working now and hiring people to work for me. It was a day that was mixed with feelings. Met Sarah at simpang afterwards. She made me smile. So kudos to her.

I’m still waiting for AZMI to send me the camp photos!
Oh yeah, i spent another sum of money on OAKLEYS!
Bought it with Azmi. He preferred the black one coz it looks more solid.
I bought a translucent brown one instead with burnt brown lenses.
At least now he wun complain about me wearing my raybans to camp.

Oh yeah, supper with grace at simpang 2 days ago was fun too!
She laughed till she cried!
AHhaha all thanks to my spastic DUH face!
AHahha!
Supper is always fun with grace.

Oh wells, can’t wait for camp.
See you guys again on thursday.
Which reminds me, gah, when i come back from camp, i have Cheryl Lio’s party to attend at night and the next day, a performance at TPJC. Was invited by some girls there. AWESOME! Ahah! This should be fun.
